An international call to explore the outcomes and experiences of childbearing women with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and the knowledge and practice of the maternity staff supporting them.
As part of a broader programme of work, Dr Sally Pezaro from the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at Coventry University and her team are currently recruiting maternity staff working in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or Australia to complete a 20 minute questionnaire about providing maternity care to women with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS) and/or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD).
Please note: Participants do not need to have knowledge or experience of caring for women with hEDS/HSD to take part.
If you would like to take part, the researchers invite you to complete this questionnaire and share it widely among your networks to maximise the breadth of response to this call.
The results are expected to direct future research and/or practical applications to support maternity staff to care for individuals living with hEDS/HSD. Ethical approval for this project has been awarded by Coventry University, UK.
