In what was another tough year for everyone, the Primary Care Women’s Health Forum is incredibly proud to have been able to support clinicians to offer the best care to the women in our clinics. From remote consultations to the vaccine roll-out, pressure to return to face-to-face appointments and a whole lot more, primary care has faced many challenges.
To keep you delivering the best for your patients, we’re delighted to have been able to support you throughout the year. Here’s the PCWHF Year in Review for 2021:
Across our educational activities of webinars, Annual Conference and Her Life Her Health Virtual Masterclass, we educated thousands of clinicians. We covered essential topics including:
- LARC under lockdown
- IUD insertions
- General gynaecology
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Premenstrual syndrome
- Menopause and more.
We had nearly 250 people at the Annual Conference. The eConference format clearly worked for you all as that was a 300%+ increase on our last face-to-face event. To ensure you can continue to access the education next year, the Annual Conference will be virtual again. If you want to kickstart your learning in 2022, you can buy your ticket now.
We know how valuable you find our resources. Our review of 2021 showed that more than 140,000 were accessed this year, which is an increase of nearly 40% on 2021. We’re committing to another year of educational resources in 2022 and would love to hear what you want us to produce. What would help you in your role? How can we help you to support your patients? Let us know firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Facebook group grew to more than 2,500 primary care clinicians this year, sharing their clinical queries and expertise to support each other. If you’re not a member, clinicians are welcome to join. We’d love to see you joining the conversation, soon.
All of this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our members, their contributions help us to continue delivering our education activities. Their individual contributions of £49 a year are invaluable to our work and for that we offer a range of benefits including discounts on our events and our ever-popular Her Life Her Health Publication delivered direct to their door.
But if you can’t afford to become a member, you can still receive Anne’s monthly ebulletin. Just subscribe today and we’ll also keep you updated on all our activities throughout the year.
And if that’s not enough, 2021 also saw our Chair, Dr Anne Connolly receive an MBE for her services to primary care women’s health in Bradford and the UK. Congratulations to Anne on her fantastic achievement and for being the driving force behind the PCWHF.
We look forward to supporting you again in 2022.
