Through this incredibly difficult year, the Primary Care Women’s Health Forum has worked hard to ensure clinicians are supported to help women with their health needs, throughout the pandemic. Here’s the PCWHF Year in Review for 2020.
As COVID started to impact on the world, we developed a suite of resources, webinars and guidance to enable primary care to undertake their women’s health consultations remotely. These remain as pertinent now as they did back in March, and with the technological change we’re seeing in the NHS, are likely to be a part of our working practices going forward.
All of our resources were accessed over 100,000 times this year, highlighting your need for reliable guidance. We will carry this forward into 2021.
We delivered 14 free webinars covering essential topics including remote consultations during COVID, pregnancy, LARC, contraception, AUB, pessaries and surgical menopause. If you missed any of them, you can watch them on demand.
Our Her Life, Her Health Masterclass moved online and was a really successful virtual event with nearly 200 attendees. If you missed the masterclass, or would like to continue updating your knowledge in 2021, join us at our Virtual Annual Conference in February, which will be another incredibly useful learning opportunity, chance to network and gain CPD.
Our Facebook group has grown to nearly 1000 primary care clinicians, sharing their cases and expertise to support each other. If you’re not a member, feel free to join and you could help us hit 1000 for 2021. Our social channels are growing and Dr Anne Connolly’s monthly eletter has over 11,000 subscribers!
Thank you to everyone for your hard work and support this year. We will be back in the New Year with new member benefits, eLearning, virtual events, webinars, the Her Life, Her Health publication and more. We look forward to supporting you throughout 2021.
