Barriers to Seeking Consultation for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

A systematic review of qualitative research looking at the issues of women with abnormal menstrual symptoms accessing healthcare. The review concluded that for 20 years women have consistently reported poor experiences in accessing care for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding. The findings indicate that drivers to impeding access are multi-factorial, including social and cultural factors as well as the provision of appropriate healthcare advice.
