Effectiveness and acceptability of CBT based interventions for maternal peripartum depression

Effectiveness and acceptability of cognitive–behavioural therapy (CBT) based interventions for maternal peripartum depression (PPD): a systematic review, meta-analysis and thematic synthesis protocol.

This review seeks to provide a systematic review of CBT-based interventions for PPD. Meta-analysis, data permitting, is used to examine the effect of CBT on the main outcomes (symptoms of depression and depression diagnosis) and secondary outcomes (e.g. anxiety, stress and parenting). In addition, this review explores the potential clinical and methodological moderators on the symptoms of depression.
