This Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX®) calculates the ten year probability of fracture by assessing an individual’s response to a number of clinical risk factors including age, sex, weight, prior history of fracture and alcohol consumption. The overall score informs who should be referred for bone mineral density and who should be treated without a need for referral.
