Human rights and long-acting reversible contraception

Source: BPAS

This report explores a human rights perspective on the use of long-acting reversible contraception in the UK. Whilst recognising the benefits of the more effective contraceptives, the report highlights the concerns from marginalised groups that LARC methods are disproportionately targeted at their communities. This report challenges primary care clinicians when counselling on the risks and benefits of LARC use and how provision is accessed.
