Long term consequences of cervical cancer and its treatment: Report from Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust

There are many long term consequences of cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment which can have a significant and damaging impact on a woman’s health and wellbeing, some of which can last a lifetime. The impact on areas of life, far beyond the physical and psychological, cannot be underestimated. This report from Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust highlights that high numbers of women are affected by multiple, negative consequences of their treatment, and large numbers are trying to cope without support or intervention. The charity hopes that this report will inspire action across the NHS and the ‘cancer community’ to increase understanding and improve care for the women affected.
