Two new overviews of FSRH guidance on combined hormonal contraception have been published.
The first, written by Dr Katie Boog, explores the updated guidance, including how to assess suitability and discusses risks, benefits and tailored regimes. It also includes implementation actions for STPs and ICSs written by Dr David Jenner, GP, Cullompton, Devon and implementation actions for clinical pharmacists in general practice written by Gupinder Syan, Training and Clinical Outcomes Manager, Soar Beyond Ltd
The FSRH’s guidance provides evidence-based recommendations and good practice points for health professionals on the use of combined hormonal contraceptives currently available in the UK. It is intended for any health care professional or health service providing contraception or conception advice in the UK.
